Email Subscription

When you choose to subscribe to our email list we’ll ask you for your name and email address. We want to address you personally.

Email subscription consent is secured through double opt-in. Proof of this is stored.

If you have opted-in to receiving emails or other marketing materials sent via email, you may opt-out at any time via the unsubscribe feature that appears in our emails or by emailing hello@biddablemedia.com.

We will never sell, trade, or rent out your email address or give it to another company to use as if they acquired it themselves. We will, however, use it with third-party applications like our email service provider, Mailchimp. We will also use it for remarketing relevant content and offers to you, through social media and the Google Display Network.

 

Contact Forms

Our onsite forms collect name, email address, phone number, business name, website UR.

If you complete an onsite form and supply us with your contact details, we will contact you with the information requested and seek explicit consent to sign you up to our email subscription.

 

Blog Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

There may be circumstances when we are unable to erase all data – either due to a legal obligation to retain your data (including legitimate interest), or because we are contractually obliged to provide you with a product or service.  If this is the case, we will explain this in our response to the request.

Right To Restrict Processing

You have the right to request that Biddable Media restrict the processing of your data in some circumstances. This may be due to a dispute over the accuracy of the data or when you have exercised your right to object (below) and Biddable Media are considering the request.  Rights to restrict processing are therefore usually temporary in nature and will be assessed on receipt of a valid and authenticated request. It may not always be possible to restrict processing either due to a legal obligation to retain your data (including legitimate interest), or because we are contractually obliged to provide you with a product or service.

Right To Object

Your right to object to your data being processed mainly concerns direct marketing and limiting data processing based on legitimate interests.
